The Institute of Health Research Pere Virgili (IISPV) is a CERCA research centre of the Generalitat de Catalunya and is structured with own research groups and researchers from the Hospital Universitari Joan XXIII of Tarragona (HUJXXIII), Hospital de Tortosa Verge de la Cinta (HTVC), the Institut Català de la Salut (ICS), the Hospital Universitari Sant Joan de Reus (HUSJR), Pere Mata Group (GPM) and the Universitat Rovira I Virgili (URV).
Services
IISPV collaborates by providing two scientific platforms:
I.- These are some of the most notable collections of the IISPV Biobank:
• Gestational Diabetes (Catalog of samples from patients with gestational diabetes)
• COVID (Catalog of samples from patients infected by SARS – CoV – 2)
II.- The Stem Cells and Organoids Unit, in collaboration with the Cytometry and Cell Classification Unit and the Histological, Mythological and Digitalization Studies Unit.
